Buland Darwaza , was built by Akbar to commemorate his conquest of Khandesh in Gujarat. It is the highest gateway of India (53.5 m high)

Charminar of Hyderabad(1591 CE) was built by Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah to commemorate the eradication of plaque from the city
